1. Agreement to Terms

By booking a lesson, attending a community program, or hiring live music from Austin Guitar Lessons by Sameer Saleem, you agree to these Terms of Service and to all applicable laws and regulations.

2. Services

Austin Guitar Lessons by Sameer Saleem provides music instruction and live performance services, including:

  • Adult, teen, and kids private guitar lessons
  • Beginner, acoustic, and electric guitar instruction
  • Voice and vocal lessons, and music theory lessons
  • Online guitar lessons delivered over video
  • The Sessions open mic, Songwriting Circles, and Jam Sessions
  • Live music for private events, restaurants, hotels, and venues

We teach acoustic guitar, electric guitar, vocals, and theory only. Requests for other instruments receive a referral rather than a booking.

3. Lesson Subscriptions and Payment

Lessons are sold as a month-to-month subscription billed through our scheduling provider. Current published rates are $469 per month for 50-minute weekly lessons, $300 per month for 50-minute biweekly lessons, and $359 per month for 30-minute weekly lessons, in US dollars. Rates may change with reasonable notice, and the rate that applies is the one confirmed at the time you subscribe.

4. Scheduling, Cancellation, and Missed Lessons

Please give as much notice as possible when you need to reschedule. We will make a reasonable effort to find another slot in the same billing month where the calendar allows. Lessons missed without notice may not be rescheduled or refunded. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time with no long-term contract; cancellation applies to future billing periods rather than the current one.

5. Community Programs

The Sessions, Songwriting Circles, and Jam Sessions are included at no extra cost for active subscribers. Dates, formats, and venues may change, and attendance is voluntary. Photos and video may be taken at these events for promotional use; tell us if you would prefer not to appear.

6. Live Music Bookings

Event bookings are quoted individually based on date, location, set length, and setup requirements, and are confirmed in writing. The stated travel area is Austin plus a 100-mile radius. Deposit and cancellation terms are set out in the booking confirmation for each event.

7. Student Conduct and Equipment

Students are responsible for their own instruments and gear brought to the studio or to community events. We ask everyone at community events to treat other players and the venue with respect; we may ask a participant to leave if they do not.

8. Results

Musical progress depends on practice, consistency, and individual circumstance. We provide instruction, structure, and feedback, but we do not guarantee a specific skill level within a specific timeframe.

9. Limitation of Liability

Austin Guitar Lessons by Sameer Saleem is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from lessons, community events, or live music bookings.

10. Intellectual Property

Lesson materials, written recaps, video recaps, and all website content are the property of Austin Guitar Lessons by Sameer Saleem and are provided for your personal use. Please do not redistribute or resell them.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the "last updated" date above will reflect the revision.
